Hot and Sunny Weather

It's cloudy out this morning but it is supposed to become sunny for the afternoon with temperatures rising to 31C, a perfect day for spending beside the sea and staying close to our villa. Tomorrow is supposed to be a repeat performance of sun and warmth.

Mom and I are busy with photos. She is working on putting up photos on Facebook while I am obviously posting to our blogs. In between we are both reading newspapers for stories about the new budget in Canada. It is a dumb budget that throws money all over the place but ignores supporting an extended social safety net or supporting new and green industries.

Enough of budget talk. Ottawa played last night and it was a return to poor playing with another loss 1-4 to the New Jersey Devils. The young Brian Elliott played in net. Gerber is playing for the farm team and seems to be doing alright there.

We have another goalie in our family as last night Cameron had the chance to play goalie during practice. He came home with all the equipment telling me that he once again will be in tonight. Not sure if this means he will be the goalie for the weekend or not but I hear he was very focused and though he is not that great, he tried very hard. I promised to practice with him after school so who knows. He is super excited and wants you to buy him goalie pads (oh no).

Ha, ha, ha! Well, it takes a bit of time before one "knows" if one is going to be a goalie. I guess if that is what it ends up to be, then that is good too. As a goalie you get a lot more ice time, that's for sure. Go Cameron, Go! Good luck on the weekend in net!
